Free Registry Cleaner Review: Error Fix
So, next up in my series of free registry cleaner reviews I got Error Fix. I would put this software, along with Registry Easy in the advanced drawer, aiming for all of you out there that know that they are familiar with some of the key terms used in this software. With the developer-team claiming they have put hundreds of hours into this software, we will see how it perform. As always, I will start off with some of the feature highlights the software display.
- Windows Vista Certified – For all of you out there running Vista Error Fix is certified to guarantee its effectiveness on the Windows Vista platform.
- Problems with computer and application shutdown – We have all experienced either the computer or applications we are currently working with shutting right off. Error Fix claim to remove these kind of problems.
- Custom Scan – For anyone that wants to customize the built-in scanning process of Error Fix they are free to do so. In short, you are able to customize what kind of error the registry cleaner will search for.
- Automatic Back-up and Restore - Poking around in the computers registry can, for some be a daunting task. Fear not, Error Fix has the ability to automatically backup your current on before you make any drastic changes.
When starting this software you are treated to a standard no-frills user interface, sparing you of all the glare and glamour we can see in other free registry cleaner reviews. This is somewhat of a relief. This software should fix the problems in my computer not look good in my computer. All the different function areas are neatly placed on your left, with all the sub-areas and their settings located within a click.

The results of this software are stunning. I found all in all 300 errors with this software. Ranging from small temporary files left behind, to more troublesome errors regarding the boot of Windows and the registry.
Verdict: The result of this free registry cleaner are amazing. I would never ever believe that my computer was in the state it really was. Shocking to say the least. On the other hand, you will need some basic computer knowledge if you want to use this software. But you have the backup feature which, after I learned the hard way, worked perfectly, allowing you to play around and get the most out of your system. So my opinion is that it’s up to you. My final grade is 4/5 - The advance features and all, the software really doesn’t cater to the complete novice, leaving 1 point on the table. Download is available over at their homepage, here.
